CHARLOTTETOWN, PE (May 4, 2026) – Oyster Bed Speedway announced today a new title sponsor for the Legends division for the upcoming 2026 race season.
Clam Diggers Restaurant & Beach House Pub has signed on to present the five-race Legend Clash Racing Series. Located on the waterfront in Cardigan, Prince Edward Island, minutes north of Montague, Clam Diggers boasts some of the finest seafood on P.E.I., prepared in the classical eastern P.E.I. tradition and served with outdoor seating and a breathtaking water view.
A must-have dining experience, you can check them out at 6864 Water St. — hours of operation are Sunday through Thursday from 11:30am to 8pm, and Friday through Saturday from 11:30am to 9pm. Oyster Bed Speedway thanks Kent Livingston, Holly Chiasson, and the entire Clam Diggers team for stepping up for 2026.
Oyster Bed Speedway’s Legends division was revitalized in 2025 following a five-year absence, providing an opportunity for P.E.I. race teams to compete weekly and gain crucial seat time and experience at their home track without having to consistently travel to the mainland or immediately race on the PiccottCare Maritime League of Legends Tour.
The outcome was a nail-biting, back-and-forth title feud between Nova Scotia’s Chase MacKay and P.E.I.’s Tanton Wooldridge that came down to the wire on Labour Day, with MacKay ultimately coming out on top and taking the championship trophy back across the Confederation Bridge.
The division features a healthy mix of competitors from across P.E.I. and the Maritimes, most notably the sport’s up-and-coming talents with aspirations to hop into a Pro Stock down the road. The 2026 championship features an increased schedule — five races versus 2025’s four — beginning on Sunday, May 17th, during the Victoria Day Long Weekend Season Opener & Demolition Derby. A champion will be crowned on Labour Day Monday, September 7th.
Beyond point-paying competition, drivers will have two chances to get in the regional spotlight during the season with a pair of PiccottCare Maritime League of Legends Tour visits. The Tour will support the Easy-Kleen Super Late Model Series on Saturday, June 13th, and later return alongside the Fort Garry Industries Pro Stock Tour on Saturday, August 29th.
