(CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – February 13, 2026) – Oyster Bed Speedway management is thrilled to announce the return of the Atlantic Modified Tour to the 1/4-mile oval for the first time in 15 years.

The popular New Brunswick-based touring series will make the trip to Prince Edward Island on Saturday, June 20th.

The track has not hosted open-wheeled V8 modifieds since September 5th, 2011, when New Brunswick’s Joe Hoyt claimed the checkered flag en route to his first of two Atlantic Modified Tour championships.

The Atlantic Modified Tour, based out of Miramichi, N.B., is one of the region’s premier short-track stock car touring series, commonly visiting tracks across New Brunswick and consistently showcasing exciting, wheel-to-wheel action from some of the best drivers in the sport. In 2026, they’ll not only head back to Prince Edward Island but also visit Spud Speedway in Caribou, Maine.

The series will tentatively begin its schedule at Petty International Raceway on Saturday, May 16th, kicking off their campaign alongside the Easy-Kleen Super Late Model Series season opener. A champion will be crowned during the Very Best Fall Shootout at R&R Speedway on Saturday, October 3rd.

More information about Fan Appreciation Night will be available in the future. To learn more about and stay tuned to the Atlantic Modified Tour, visit their website at atlanticmodifieds.com and their Facebook page at www.facebook.com/AtlanticModifieds.
