(CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. – September 19, 2024) – Oyster Bed Speedway management is thrilled to announce that the 2024 season will conclude with back-to-back weekends of the return of truck pulls and the stock car racing season finale.
On Saturday, September 28, the high-banked oval will welcome the region’s best truck pullers and the Beast 2.0 Pulling Sled crew for round six and the championship finale for the East Coast Pulling Series. The event will be the first time the track has hosted truck pulls in years.
The pulls are set to begin at 3 p.m. with the truck gates opening at 1 p.m. and the public gates opening at 2 p.m.
Fan activities, canteen food, and more will be available. General admission is $25 while kids 12 and under are free.
On Sunday, October 6, the season finale for the 2024 P.E.I. stock car racing season will commence at 2 p.m. with six racing classes on the race card, five of them crowning a year-long champion. The decision to run on Sunday instead of Saturday came with the awareness of a Petty International Raceway event on Saturday, Oct. 5 and concerns about cold temperatures.
On the race card will be the Reliable Motors Bandoleros, Chris’s Bobcat Services Mini Stocks, Moore Well Drilling Outlaws, Gauthier’s Auto Repair Street Stocks, and Alvin’s Auto Sales + Repair Bombers.
The Bombers will have their final points-paying race on Sept. 21 but an open race will occur at the season finale in the continuous hopes of raising the car count and having a bigger class in 2025.
