(CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – July 30, 2026) – PEI Pro Stock Summer Thunder storms into Round Two as Oyster Bed Speedway’s mid-summer premier touring showcase continues this weekend!
Fresh off an action-packed BJ’s Truck Centre 150 for the Fort Garry Industries Pro Stock Tour last Saturday, July 25th, Oyster Bed Speedway is set for another regional series showdown this Saturday, August 1st, as the Easy-Kleen Super Late Model Series takes the spotlight for the Breakwater Developments 150.
The Series will make its second and final 2026 visit to Oyster Bed Bridge, Prince Edward Island for Round Five of Six on its schedule, supported by the Heart of a Champion Hot Rod Classics powered by Kimco, Legends, Outlaws, and Petty International Raceway Outlaw Late Models.
With a heavyweight championship battle entering the penultimate race on the Easy-Kleen Super Late Model Series’ schedule, a $4,000+ winner’s purse on the line, and just one race remaining after Saturday night, every lap and every decision will matter as the region’s best Super Late Model drivers tackle one of the toughest ovals in the Maritimes.
A deep eighteen (18) car field is ready to battle for 150 laps under the lights, with a variety of championship contenders, local favourites, and rising talents poised to leave PEI’s 1/4-mile bullring with a coveted victory.
With two races left to contest, just 20 points separate three drivers, two of whom come from the Island: defending champion Tanton Wooldridge (#01), previous Series winner Ryan Messer (#1), and inaugural champion Dylan Gosbee (#16). Wooldridge leads Messer by five points and returns to the driver’s seat after being sidelined by doctors from the previous race at Speedway 660. Messer is coming off his first Series win since 2023, while Gosbee, 20 points behind Wooldridge, recently collected another home-track podium finish and brings momentum into this weekend.
The competition isn’t just atop the standings, as the entire top-15 is fighting for every position and point they can get – and some drivers still have a mathematical shot to enter or re-enter the championship conversation. Keep an eye out for familiar Oyster Bed Speedway names like former Maritime League of Legends winner Braden Langille (#26) and past track champions Chris Hughes (#32) and Kent Vincent (#8) to make serious noise.
Wooldridge, Gosbee, Hughes, and Vincent are joined by Darren MacKinnon (#18), Brandon Albert (#37), and Robbie MacEwen (#40), forming an elite Prince Edward Island contingent eager to put an Island driver back on top of the podium. MacEwen recently claimed the bridesmaid position again in the BJ’s Truck Centre 150, making him 2-for-2 as the runner-up at Oyster Bed Speedway in 2026. If there’s anyone who’s come the closest to knocking off the man to beat on the Island, it’s MacEwen.
That man remains “Hurricane Hall.” The target on Cory Hall’s (#83) back continues to grow bigger with every win, with his latest BJ’s Truck Centre 150 victory putting him at seven consecutive premier touring victories at Oyster Bed Speedway since August 2024. Hall has also won the last five Easy-Kleen Super Late Model Series races on PEI, with his latest coming in June’s Universal Truck and Trailer 150. As the streak extends, the hunger increases amongst the rest of the field to finally end his historic run.

While the Super Late Models anchor the event, a blockbuster undercard will keep fans entertained and on the edge of their seats ahead of the Breakwater Developments 150, with another touring series, two house classes, and a division from another racetrack coming together for quite possibly the most exciting and memorable night of the summer. Even better, it’s a long weekend for New Brunswickers and Nova Scotians, making this Saturday an incredible option for a PEI summer getaway.
It’s that time of the year for a good ol’ PEI “blast from the past”. The Heart of a Champion Hot Rod Classics powered by Kimco have Oyster Bed Speedway circled next on their calendar, with the 35-lap Confederation Classic bringing the region’s first and only vintage stock car organization to the Island for their annual appearance here. A group of drivers bringing beautifully restored vintage race cars will take fans young and old down memory lane while continuing their fundraising efforts in support of the IWK Foundation.
Two local divisions will contest championship point events. The Clam Diggers Clash Racing Series Legends enter Round Four of Five, their final $300-to-win event before the championship finale on Labour Day, with Nova Scotia’s Caden Tufts (#00) in charge of the championship by a commanding 59 points over “The Springhill Smoke” Chase Livingston (#39).
The No. 00 car has won all three contested 30-lap features thus far, along with the majority of local and touring events it’s entered across the Maritimes. Unless catastrophe strikes for Tufts, the battles behind him rage on, with Livingston just 14 points ahead of Cole Doyle (#12) and 32 points ahead of Simon Doyle (#91) in the point standings.
The Moore Well Drilling Outlaws approach a busy stretch, as they’ll be at the racetrack over five of the next six weekends to complete their championship. With five events remaining for the four-cylinder class, Brady Albert (#12) leads 2024 champion Brandon Forsyth (#3) by one point, followed by Jonathan Fitzpatrick (#78) 10 points back. It’s a 37-point deficit between first and seventh, meaning it’s still anyone’s title to win.
Fun fact: only one of those seven drivers, Forsyth, has won a feature this season, while the other three feature winners are on part-time schedules. Albert, Fitzpatrick, Corey Bridges (#04), Bradley Richard (#49), Harley Cornish (#13), and reigning Rookie of the Year Cash Bridges (#69) all still await their first feature victory in 2026, while having recorded a combined nine preliminary wins so far.
Initially, this event was supposed to boast a loaded four-division race card, but that all changed earlier this week with the announcement of a brand-new addition: the Outlaw Late Models. An agreement between Oyster Bed Speedway and Petty International Raceway will see teams from Petty’s newest division, added to their annual racing program in 2025, make the trek across the Confederation Bridge for a historic exhibition showcase.
A stellar field is expected to appear at Oyster Bed on Saturday, from standouts across various divisions to former track winners. Plus, fans who want a full weekend of dynamic short-track racing can head to Petty on Sunday and watch the Outlaws compete there as well.
Admission for the Breakwater Developments 150 and Confederation Classic is $30 for adults (16+), $10 for youth (ages 8-15), and free for children seven and under. Pits are $40 and restricted to race teams and individuals aged eight (8) and older, with a completed eWaiver required.
Ticket booths and pit/grandstand gates open at 12:30pm, with practices running from 2:00pm to 5:00pm. The green flag is scheduled for 6:00pm. The rain date, if necessary, is Sunday, August 2nd, at 2:00pm.
