(CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – June 16, 2026) – Oyster Bed Speedway management is excited to share important details about the upcoming Fifth Annual RE/MAX Rumble, scheduled for this Saturday, June 20th, 2026.
First born in 2022, and once again proudly sponsored by RE/MAX Charlottetown and RE/MAX Harbourside, the RE/MAX Rumble is the Moore Well Drilling Outlaw Division’s annual marquee race. Originally a Canada Day Weekend staple for the past four editions, this year’s running has moved up a week due to Monster Madness & FMX World Tour taking over that weekend.
The RE/MAX Rumble is widely considered the biggest Honda race in the Maritimes and has progressively become one of the region’s biggest and most challenging four-cylinder races with strong, consistent car counts. In 2026, the event will again award $1,500 to the driver who crosses the line first after 80 total laps across two 40-lap features.
Like last year, one feature will begin the event, and another will conclude the show. Feature #1 will be treated like a heat race, with the starting lineup determined by random draw at the drivers’ meeting. Once Feature #1 is completed, the final results will determine the initial starting lineup for Feature #2.
Then, another random draw will occur, with a drawn number deciding how many cars in the front half of the field will be inverted to begin Feature #2. If twenty (20) cars start, and the number eight (8) is drawn, the top-eight cars in Feature #1 results will be inverted, placing the eighth-place car on the pole. From there, it’s a 40-lap sprint to the checkered flag and $1,500.
An $1,800 portion of the total $7,500 race purse will go to the top five finishers – $750 for second, $500 for third, $300 for fourth, and $250 for fifth. As for the rest of the field, depending on the car count, the remaining portions of the purse will be disbursed equally to each car. Plus, all mainland cars will have their bridge fee covered.
There will be a lap board once again, but with a twist this year. All 80 competition laps will be available to purchase, along with 20 bonus laps, for a total of 100 laps at $50 each. Hypothetically, for example, if all laps are sold by the weekend and twenty (20) cars take the green flag, an extra $250 will be awarded to each car. A post will be made on social media, showing what laps are available and who to contact for more information.
Oyster Bed Speedway Outlaw rules apply, except for camber and muffler rules. This is not final, as conversations are ongoing about certain rules. A further update is expected soon.
This event will award 15 show points to each participating car, making it crucial that regular Oyster Bed Speedway competitors take part to ensure stronger contention for the season-long championship.
Drivers are asked to fill out a quick registration form for promotional purposes and to help track management determine the entry list and purse numbers. The form is available at https://oysterbedspeedwaypei.ca/2026-re-max-rumble-registration/. Expect an entry list in the coming days.
As we continue preparing for this event, don’t forget that the Atlantic Modified Tour, Reliable Motors Beginner & Outlaw Bandoleros, Chris’s Bobcat Services Mini Stocks, and Clam Diggers Clash Racing Series Legends round out an action-packed race card alongside the Fifth Annual RE/MAX Rumble this Saturday, June 20th. The green flag is scheduled for 6:00pm.
