(CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – July 26, 2026) – Oyster Bed Speedway completed its sixth event of the 2026 stock car racing season on Saturday, July 25th, 2026.
One premier touring series and three local divisions contested races on a hot, sunny day at the 1/4-mile paved oval in Oyster Bed Bridge, Prince Edward Island. The show was completed in under four hours with little delay, and a packed grandstand was treated to a phenomenal full night of racing from sunset to nighttime.
Cory Hall (#83) maintained his stranglehold on Oyster Bed Speedway with his seventh consecutive premier touring win at the track in the BJ’s Truck Centre 150, round six on the Fort Garry Industries Maritime Pro Stock Tour. Despite being plagued by push rod issues during practice, Hall went on to lead 95 laps after spending the first third of the race charging from seventh to the lead.
He never relinquished the lead after lap 57, but had Robbie MacEwen (#40) keep him company at various points, including on a late-race restart with over 30 laps remaining. MacEwen earned his second runner-up finish at Oyster Bed Speedway this season, with Dylan Gosbee (#16) completing a déjà vu of the Easy-Kleen Super Late Model Series’ Universal Truck and Trailer 150 podium in June.
Gosbee avoided a near-disaster on lap 103 during a tense moment with Jonathan Hicken (#2), and later chased down MacEwen in the closing laps before settling for third. Darren MacKinnon (#18) and Hicken, substituting for Pro Stock Tour points leader Ashton Tucker (#2), rounded out the top five.
Including competition cautions, the race featured 10 yellow flags and took one hour and 23 minutes to complete. 19 cars completed the field, with 16 taking the checkered flag. Hicken, Chris Hughes (#32), and Hall won their respective Atlantic Tiltload heat races, which set the starting lineup for the BJ’s Truck Centre 150.
Devin Gallant (#36) picked up his second Fitzpatrick Consulting Street Stock feature win of the season in Saturday’s extended 40-lap showdown. The sophomore from Rustico rocketed from seventh to first and ran away from the rest of the field after a mid-race restart for a multi-car incident. The win, on top of his heat race runner-up finish, made him the division’s third different points leader this season, now leading Matthew Ford (#86) by 11 points.
Ford and Nick Chaisson (#27) cracked the feature podium and put on a fantastic battle for second place in the second half of the race. Chaisson and rookie Campbell Stewart (#30) won their respective 12-lap heat races. 12 cars were on the grounds, but only seven finished the feature.
Randy MacTavish (#76) held off points leader Ricky Bedell (#2) for his first Chris’s Bobcat Services Mini Stock feature win of 2026 and first feature win since June 2025. The extended 30-lap affair saw rookie Daniel MacIsaac (#88) lead the first half of the race until a halfway caution for debris re-racked the field for a restart.
After he and fellow rookie Colton Bridges (#09) got sideways a lap into the restart, MacTavish and Bedell flew by to take the top two spots the rest of the way, while MacIsaac held on for third at the end. With third- and first-place finishes on Saturday, MacTavish closed the gap on Bedell in the championship standings by three points, now sitting eight points back.
Jason Arseneau (#68) returned to feature victory lane in the Alvin’s Auto Sales and Repair Bomber division, dominating both the 10-lap heat race and the extended 25-lap feature for his first full sweep of the season, and leading every lap on the night. It was his second feature win across three events. Jamie Ronaghan (#35) and rookie Logan Pineau (#21) completed the podium. Arseneau’s sweep extended his points lead by seven points to +13 over the No. 35 team.

Oyster Bed Speedway returns to action next Saturday, August 1st, for round two of P.E.I. Pro Stock Summer Thunder, featuring the Easy-Kleen Super Late Model Series for Round Five of Six on its 2026 schedule. The Series will make its second and final visit to P.E.I. and be joined by the Heart of a Champion Hot Rod Classics powered by Kimco for their annual P.E.I. “blast from the past” race, plus the Clam Diggers Clash Racing Series Legends and Moore Well Drilling Outlaws for local championship point racing. The start time is scheduled for 6:00 PM.
