CHARLOTTETOWN, PE (June 11, 2026) – Oyster Bed Speedway is just days away from its first special event of the 2026 stock car racing season, with the second of five consecutive weekends of high-octane motorsports action in Oyster Bed Bridge, Prince Edward Island, up next.
The 1/4-mile paved oval will welcome two regional touring series and host three house classes as part of its third show of the summer on Saturday, June 13th, at 5:00pm — take note of the adjusted start time compared to the usual 6:00pm green flag, which’ll become standard beginning on June 20th.
The Easy-Kleen Super Late Model Series, one of Atlantic Canada’s premier stock car touring series, headlines the festivities with its first visit to P.E.I. this season, presenting the fourth annual Universal Truck and Trailer 150 — round three of six on the Series’ 2026 schedule and the track’s first of four Pro Stock/Late Model races in 2026.
The Universal Truck and Trailer 150 will be the first of two stops on the Island by the Series in 2026, and the seventh Easy-Kleen Super Late Model Series race contested on P.E.I. since 2023. Dylan Gosbee (#16) won in 2023 en route to the Series championship. Cory Hall (#83) went back-to-back in 2024 and 2025, leading all 300 combined laps. Both drivers look to add another Universal Truck and Trailer 150 victory to their resume this weekend, and Hall will be on a “Drive for Five,” having won the last four Series races on P.E.I.
Twenty-two (22) cars are on the entry list for this weekend’s race — the most in a Pro Stock/Late Model race across the Maritimes in 2026 so far, and the most at Oyster Bed Speedway since 2023 — with nine (9) making up the P.E.I. contingent. That group includes Gosbee, defending Series champion Tanton Wooldridge (#01), former Maritime Pro Stock Tour race winners Kent Vincent (#8), Darren MacKinnon (#18), and Robbie MacEwen (#40), past track champions Chris Hughes (#32), Brandon Albert (#37), and Mark LeClair (#51), and former local winner Allison MacKinnon (#07).
Wooldridge currently leads the points championship by 10 points and will have strong momentum following a breakthrough first career feature win in the Series’ previous race on May 30th at Speedway 660. Gosbee trails Wooldridge by 14 points in third with one podium and back-to-back top-five finishes. Albert, LeClair, and both MacKinnons are set to make their 2026 debuts at their home track.
As for the mainlanders, none have won a feature in any form of Pro Stock/Late Model competition at Oyster Bed Speedway — but recent years have yielded close calls, including a podium for Ryan Messer (#1) in 2023 and an impressive fourth-place run for Greg Fahey (#20) last year. Three New Brunswickers are preparing for their maiden Oyster Bed Speedway appearance in a Pro Stock/Late Model — Marcel LeBlanc (#30), Clark Moore (#54), and three-time Piston Cup Street Stock champion Michael Cormier (#4).

The Easy-Kleen Super Late Model Series won’t be alone in touring competition, as the PiccottCare Maritime League of Legends Tour will bring many of the region’s up-and-comers to the red dirt for the first time in 2026, presenting the PiccottCare 50 — the first of two Series races on the Island this year.
The Tour recently completed its first race at Petty International Raceway, with current Oyster Bed Speedway Legends divisional points leader Caden Tufts (#00) scoring his first Series win since 2023. Ironically, that previous (and first) win came at none other than Oyster Bed Speedway.
Tufts is part of a twenty (20) car field assembling for what’ll be the Series’ second of 10 championship races in 2026, and the 13th Series race to be contested at Oyster Bed Speedway. Last year, 17-time Series winner — four at Oyster Bed — Danny Chisholm captured both 2025 races. Notably, Tufts is the only former Series P.E.I. winner on Saturday’s entry list. As for winners beyond P.E.I., Tufts is joined by Josh Langille (#18) and reigning Oyster Bed Speedway Legends champion Chase MacKay (#71).
Five young Islanders are in the lineup — former Series Rookie of the Year Stephen Piccott Jr. (#34), past Bandolero track champion Simon Doyle (#91) and his brother Cole Doyle (#12), and multi-time Bandolero race winners Hunter MacKinnon (#07) and Wyatt Peters (#33).
Alongside the thrilling touring action, three local divisions will play support with extended features (and only heats, no semis), and are coming off a dramatic showdown on Fan Appreciation Night last Saturday — the Reliable Motors Beginner & Outlaw Bandoleros and Fitzpatrick Consulting Street Stocks, featuring the youngest racers on the block and an old-school, fan-favourite class.
Kace Scott (#81) continues to lead the Beginner Bandolero championship following a second consecutive triple win. He’s trailed closely by Regan MacBeth (#34), who is inching closer and closer each race to his first win in two years and first-ever feature victory. Landon MacBeth (#32) and rookie Rylie Gillis (#39) continue to make noticeable gains, turning more laps and growing more comfortable behind the wheel each week.
Mason Gillis (#9) remains the Outlaw Bandolero points leader following an instant classic of a show last Saturday, which saw multiple photo finishes, including one in the 15-lap feature. About a foot separated Gillis and Nova Scotia’s Bristol Matthews (#99) at the line for the win, with the latter coming out on top. Four points separate the two drivers after two rounds, followed by rookie Jake Campbell (#38), 25 points behind, and it’s 68 points between first and 12th.
It’s been all Oyster Bed Bridge for the Street Stocks in feature competition thus far, with nearby Rustico and Brackley Beach also having a fair share of victory lane visits in preliminary action. Current points leader and former two-time champion Colton Ford (#35) went from leading every lap in the 40-lap Opening Day feature to stealing the top spot from rookie — and the newest Bingley’s Auto Body Driver of the Week — Campbell Stewart (#30) in the closing laps of the 25-lap Fan Appreciation Night feature. It’s another 40-lap feature this weekend, and Ford loves his long features — can he repeat yet again?
Stewart turned heads in just his second career Street Stock start. After a challenging Opening Day where he finished only one race and missed the feature due to a mechanical failure, he returned last Saturday with a statement performance, winning both of his preliminary races and finishing second in the feature. Keep an eye on him this weekend and as the season progresses.
In points, Ford is followed closely by Nick Chaisson (#27) and SnowStorm Racing (Kenny/Brandon Snow, #7), along with Matthew Ford (#86) and Devin Gallant (#36) in a tie for fourth. Only 70 points separate the 10 teams that have started every event thus far.
Admission for the Universal Truck and Trailer 150 is $30 for adults (16+), $10 for youth (ages 8-15), and free for children seven and under. Pits are $40 and restricted to race teams and individuals aged eight (8) and older, with a completed eWaiver required.
Ticket booths and pit/grandstand gates open at 11:30am, with practices running from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. The green flag is scheduled for 5:00pm. The rain date, if necessary, is Sunday, June 14th, at 2:00pm. For more information, visit www.oysterbedspeedwaypei.ca.
